Celluloid by the Sea - Port Campbell Community Film Festival

We are excited to announce that the fourth Celluloid by the Sea will be rolling in to Port Campbell on 2nd -3rd June, 2017.

This year the festival will be held entirely at the Port Campbell Surf Life Saving Club, with a Short Film Competition on the Friday night to kick it off.
We will again show some local films and footage as trailers to the feature film on the Saturday night.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates to the program.

History...

First conceived at the ideas forum conducted by the Twelve Apostles Business and Tourism Association in 2011, momentum for the film festival grew at the Port Campbell Progress Association's Master Planning session held in early 2013.

With the support of Port Campbell Progress Association and Corangamite Shire, we were able to hold a successful inaugural festival in 2014.  We hope this will become an annual event on the Port Campbell calendar.

The theme selected for the first festival was around local and small rural communities.  Part of this was to look at films which had some local connection.  The beautiful coastal scenery around Port Campbell has been used on a few occasions as a backdrop to movies, TV series and advertisements.  We look forward to seeing more of this stunning scenery in the locally made films starring our very own talented community members!

We hope to see you there...
